Tuskegee Honey, LLC

Jacqueline McArthur

Jacqueline McArthur owns Tuskegee Honey, LLC, which produces raw local wildflower honey in small seasonal batches. Her approach centers bee health, Alabama Black Belt Prairie wildflowers, environmental stewardship, and low-intervention beekeeping practices that allow the bees and the land to guide each harvest.

Historic Agricultural Community · Established 1937

Flint River Farms

Flint River Farms began in 1937 after the federal government purchased 10,879 acres across 11 tracts and developed the land into family farm units. The historic community provided participating farmers with homes, farm structures, livestock, wells, sanitation, fencing, and access to rural electric service, creating a lasting agricultural legacy that informs today’s beginning-farmer mentorship.
